Course overview
Prior to the behavior of stealing, a number of triggers and cues are created. Triggers are long standing events that create a story that justifies the theft. Cues are what happens to you physically, behaviorally, emotionally, and cognitively prior to the action. Anti-theft programs are cognitive restructuring, challenging the stories we've used to justify our use of high risk behaviors and why we needed them in the first place. Theft Prevention Level 1 is a 4 hour course graded and passed off by an EAC Education Specialist or a Counselor. This course is recognized by DHHS and includes SAMHSA evidence based research.
